CNC Operator in Steel Fabrication

Our client specialises in crafting high-quality steel products for various applications, who are currently seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join their team.
Role Overview:
As a CNC Operator in our steel fabrication unit, the successful applicant will be responsible for operating a range of machinery, including CNC Lasers, punch presses or waterjet machines, press brake machines (folding), and bandsaws/pillar drills. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in metal fabrication processes and be adept at handling and maintaining these machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining CNC Laser, punch press or waterjet machines, press brake machine (folding) and bandsaws/pillar drills.
- Ensuring precision and accuracy in the fabrication process.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in operating CNC Laser, punch press or waterjet machines, press brake machines (folding), and bandsaws/pillar drills.
Understanding of CNC processes in steel fabrication.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Forklift driving experience is preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
Additional Information:
While previous experience with laser/punch press is desirable, candidates with expertise in waterjet machines will be considered. The processes involved are similar, and training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.
